Ayurvedic Clinic & Hospital Software: How to Choose the Right One
13 October 2026 · AyurHealthPlus
Ayurvedic clinic, Ayurveda clinic, Ayurvedic hospital or Ayurveda hospital: what your OPD needs from software, what to check before you buy, and where the limits are.
Search for "Ayurvedic clinic software" or "Ayurveda hospital software" and you will find dozens of options. Most of them were built for general clinics and then given an Ayurvedic name. This guide explains what an Ayurvedic clinic or an Ayurveda hospital OPD actually needs from software, so you can judge any product, including ours, against your real work.
Ayurvedic clinic, Ayurveda clinic, Ayurvedic hospital, Ayurveda hospital: is there a difference?
The names mean the same thing. An Ayurvedic clinic and an Ayurveda clinic are both clinics that provide Ayurvedic treatment. An Ayurvedic hospital and an Ayurveda hospital are both hospitals that do. Clinics often use "Ayurveda" in their brand name, and hospitals often use "Ayurvedic" in their official name, but the software needs are the same.
What does change is the size of the practice:
- A solo OPD needs fast case history, prescriptions and follow-ups.
- A multi-doctor Ayurvedic clinic also needs appointments, a token queue, billing and staff logins.
- A Panchakarma centre needs therapy plans, sessions, rooms and consent forms.
- An Ayurvedic hospital OPD needs all of the above for several departments at once.

What Ayurvedic software must record that general clinic software does not
General clinic software is built around symptoms, diagnosis codes and medicines. An Ayurvedic consultation records more. Before you buy, check that the software has a proper place for:
- Dosha, Dushya and Avastha (stage of disease)
- Agni and Koshtha
- Ashtavidha Pariksha and the clinical examination
- Chikitsa Sutra (treatment principle)
- Anupana with every medicine
- Pathya and Apathya (diet and lifestyle advice)
- Panchakarma procedures planned for the patient
If these end up in a free-text "notes" box, you cannot search them later, and you cannot see patterns across your patients.
Seven questions to ask before you choose
- How fast is a routine OPD visit? A returning patient should take under a minute: find the patient, repeat or change the last prescription, print or send it.
- Can I take the history by speaking? Typing a full case sheet in a busy OPD is slow. Voice history taking in Marathi, Hindi or English saves real time, as long as the doctor checks the draft before saving.
- Is it priced per clinic or per doctor? Per-doctor pricing gets expensive as your clinic grows.
- Does each staff member get their own login? A receptionist should not read case notes. A pharmacist should not refund bills.
- Does it handle Panchakarma properly? Therapy plans, session counts, rooms that cannot be double-booked, and consent before the session starts.
- What happens when I make a mistake? Corrections should keep the earlier version, and deleted records should be restorable.
- Can I print and share in the patient's language? Many patients read Marathi or Hindi more easily than English.
Software for an Ayurvedic hospital: be clear about the scope
Most Ayurvedic hospitals need two kinds of software. The OPD side covers consultations, prescriptions, the Panchakarma department, the pharmacy and billing. The in-patient side covers admissions, wards, beds, nursing and the laboratory.
Ask every vendor which side they actually cover. A strong OPD system that does not pretend to manage wards is better than a large system where the Ayurvedic parts are an afterthought.

How AyurHealthPlus fits
AyurHealthPlus is software for Ayurvedic clinics and the OPD of Ayurvedic hospitals, made for BAMS and MD/MS Ayurveda doctors. In one web app it gives you:
- An 18-module Ayurvedic case sheet, plus a quick history and prescription screen for routine visits
- AI voice history taking in Marathi, Hindi and English, with a checklist of questions to ask (the doctor reviews every field before saving)
- Prescriptions with Anupana, Pathya and Apathya, ready-made treatment kits, printing and WhatsApp sharing
- Appointments and a token queue for each doctor
- Panchakarma therapy plans, sessions, rooms and consent forms
- Pharmacy stock by batch and expiry, and billing with payments and refunds
- Separate logins for doctors, receptionists, pharmacists and therapists
- Pricing per clinic or hospital, not per doctor
What it does not do: it does not manage in-patient admissions, wards, beds or a laboratory system. If your hospital needs full IPD management, it is not the right fit yet.

Frequently asked questions
Is Ayurveda clinic software different from Ayurvedic clinic software?
No. Both names describe software for a clinic that provides Ayurvedic treatment. What matters is whether the software records the Ayurvedic assessment properly, not which name it uses.
Can a small BAMS clinic use the same software as a hospital OPD?
Yes, if the software lets you turn on only what you need. A solo doctor may use only patient records and prescriptions, and add appointments, billing or the pharmacy later.
Does AI history taking replace the doctor's judgement?
No. The AI drafts the case sheet from the conversation. The doctor reviews and edits every field, and all diagnosis and treatment decisions stay with the doctor.
How much does Ayurvedic clinic software cost in India?
It depends on the product and whether it charges per doctor or per clinic. AyurHealthPlus has a one-month trial for ₹199, and yearly plans are priced per clinic. See the price page for current plans.
